Every child of God needs blessings: for good health; for prosperity; for enlightenment, inspiration, knowledge, and wisdom; for peace, harmony, and understanding; for guidance and protection; for God's love, grace, mercy, compassion, and charity, etc. − for one's temporal and spiritual well-being.
Did you know that the righteous blessings being sought by a child of God are already granted in Heaven? We just need to learn how to claim God's blessings and gifts (James 1:17, Moroni 10:18) that are already 'earmarked' for us.

The LDS Church Apostasy Foretold
Many prophets, including Christ the Lord, foretold of the wickedness and corruptness of the LDS Church.
Lehi and Ishmael continue their journey in the wilderness. Lehi continues to have visions and revelations. The Lord prepares a compass to guide them in the wilderness. Their sufferings and trials in the wilderness. Laman and Lemuel continue to rebel. Latter day church apostasy foretold.
And it came to pass that Lehi and Ishmael went into a tent together to pray to the Lord and receive inspiration from the Spirit as to where they should go and how they should govern their families while they were traveling in the wilderness towards the land that the Lord had promised unto them.

A Clarion Voice of Warning to the LDS Saints
Do Pray and Fast, Ponder, Ask-Seek-Knock − that you come to know the Truth.
Hear ye all saints, the sword of God's justice is about to fall upon your heads. Wake-up and Repent! Pray and Fast that you may have the Eyes to See, the Ears to Hear, and a Heart to Understand the awful state you are truly in − being under the strong grips of the Deceiver, tightening his chain of damnation upon your souls.
Isaiah 3:12,14 O my people, …they which lead thee cause thee to err, …the spoil of the poor is in your houses (Lds Temples). Note: the common Lds Members are striving to follow the Savior, but are being misled by those who Lead them. It is time to wake-up and repent of complacency − put your trust in the Redeemer Jesus Christ, not in the 'arm of flesh'. Stop the propagation and perpetuation of 'Blind-Faith'. Do Pray and Fast (often) that you will come to know the truth. Without true repentance, destruction is certain. Align your allegiance with the Redeemer Jesus Christ.

Personal Disclosure
The purpose of this writeup (Litmus Test for the LDS) is to inform my brothers and sisters in the LDS faith regarding the True Status of the LDS Church: The Word of God vs The LDS Church.
Do you align with Christ's words or with the LDS Corp-Church precepts-teachings-commandments-traditions advanced by mortal men of flesh?
I rejoice in God's goodness, and in the spirit of gratitude do I share some of my life's experiences with you - without boasting of myself - an imperfect person that I am.
Since I was 12 years old, I have taken time to read the scriptures. However, it was not until I started preparing to serve a mission (during senior year in HS), that my interest really heightened exponentially toward the scriptures and other authorized church publications − I read a lot: at least twice, cover to cover, I completed the 4 standard books (Bible, Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, Doctrine & Covenants). Among many other books, I also read: Jesus the Christ by Talmage (I recall I needed a dictionary to lookup tons of words outside of my then vocabulary bank). In hindsight, it is my opinion: Dr. Talmage used too many vocabularies that are not readily understood by average-educated English readers. It was a good book overall, but it was not an easy read.
I must admit that I have a special affinity for the Book of Mormon: there was a time while reading the Book of Mormon that I experienced what is known as a Pentecost-type baptism of the Spirit of God − I started speaking in an unknown tongue, as I read: I was so startled, I stopped reading for a moment, looked around if someone else was in my bedroom (10 ft x 11 ft size − not big at all); not seeing anyone, I continued to read − I then realized that I was speaking in a language totally foreign to me − I read the text in English, however, the words that came out of my mouth were not in English. Note: normally when I read the scriptures, privately in my room, I read aloud, enough for me to hear myself pronouncing the words. Since I had been around students/friends of different nationals and had heard them speak in their native tongues, and I also already had 3 years of Spanish in school, the vocalized language that I experienced while reading the Book Mormon was totally foreign − a language that I had never encountered before my senior year in HS nor anytime after HS days. For the record, I went to a Spanish-speaking mission. As a side note, for those who might be interested, the simple formula that I use whenever I read the scriptures is to pray before and after reading − very likely many of you proceed in the same manner.
At this juncture, I want to include a Word of Caution to those who have NOT read the Book of Mormon, and those Non-LDS (non-Mormons) who might be visiting this website or reading this text:

Do not Judge the Book of Mormon by its Cover! You do not want to judge God's word (from any publication) to be evil.
Read it and ASK God with sincerity, without preconceived bias against it. I recommend start reading 3 Nephi chapters 11 thru 15, and Moroni 10:3-7. - The Book of Mormon is NOT owned by the LDS Church exclusively! In like manner, the Bible is NOT owned exclusively by any Church!
- The LDS Church did NOT produce the Book of Mormon (Another Testament of Jesus Christ)!
- The Book of Mormon was translated (completed in June 1829) into English by Joseph Smith Jr by the command of God; It was published (in March 1830) prior to the organization of the original LDS Church (April 1830).
- Every Truth Seeker will ASK God for a Confirmation of the Truth.
- God is Ready, Willing, and Able to reveal and confirm Truth: Ask, Seek, Knock... Luke 11:9-10; John 8:31-32
- Thus, the Bible and the Book of Mormon stand independent from all churches. The Words of God have universal application.

Both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, contain the Fullness of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ (recorded in Matthew chapters 5 thru 7 and in 3 Nephi chapters 12 thru 15).
Both books testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ.
By LDS standard, I would say I had a very successful mission with many spiritual experiences, and with more than quite a few baptisms (teamed with several missionaries). The Book of Mormon (its content) is what I would say was the key to baptismal conversions − the Spirit of God always testified of its veracity, containing the words of God.
While I was in the mission field, in addition to training new missionaries, I was given the responsibility of interviewing candidates for baptism: I encountered a spiritual enlightenment that made me realized that something was not quite right. It was a quickening of my mind that the church-authorized set of questions posed to candidates was not valid or not aligned with what was recorded in the scriptures with respect to baptismal requirements. The two major issues included the following:

A candidate must accept the current LDS Church President as a Prophet of God.
- So when a person says that I believe in Jesus Christ, but I don't have a testimony of President Russell Nelson as a prophet of God; I do not know him well enough nor have I heard him speak. At this point, the candidate must accept the current LDS prophet on 'Blind-Faith.' If the candidate cannot accept via 'Blind-Faith', he/she will NOT be approved for baptism per church policy.
- In the New Testament scriptures, however, only belief in Jesus Christ is required (no other mortal name should be included).

A candidate must accept the Commandments given to Moses (Old Testament Exodus 20). With certain exceptions to the laws: Sabbath is Sunday, and added paying of Tithing to the LDS Church. Of course, no animal sacrifice is involved.
- Thus, per church policy, acceptance of the Old Testament laws, is required for baptism, with exceptions noted.
- In the New Testament scriptures, however, the Moses' Old Testament Laws were already superseded/replaced by Christ Gospel Laws (recorded in Matthew chapters 5 thru 7 and recorded in 3 Nephi chapters 12 thru 15 − aka the Gospel of Jesus Christ or the Rod of Iron). Note: this was not used in the baptismal interviews.
Another big item (selling point) that LDS missionaries teach is the concept of one's Family can be sealed for eternity. As a young LDS missionary, I did not know any better (at that time).

One's Family forever-together sounds really good for any family who wants to stay-together forever. The catch is, this 'sealing' of family-forever can only be accomplished in the LDS temples, and a mandatory requirement to enter any LDS temple is the paying of Tithing.
The LDS temple is also the only authorized place to perform Baptism for the Dead relatives who were not baptized in the LDS faith. And after a dead-baptism is performed (vicariously), then a Family-sealing can take place for this dead relative: sealing this relative to one's LDS eternal family. -
Per enlightenment from the Spirit of God, I see there are major problems with the above item, sealing of family-forever and dead-baptism:
- The Mandatory Tithing has to be paid first to the LDS Church. This beginning to sound like an 'Indulgence' - you pay so that you can perform 'Essential' Eternal Saving ordinance for your family and dead relatives.
- Nowhere can you find - in Christ's very own words, both Bible and the Book of Mormon, containing the Fullness of the Christ's Gospel, regarding family-sealing nor baptism for the dead, and that these must be performed after you have paid your Tithing.
- FYI: the Pure Gospel of Jesus Christ recorded in Matthew chapters 5 thru 7 (Bible) and in 3 Nephi chapters 12 thru 15 (Book of Mormon) - Jesus did NOT mention anything about the ordinances of sealing for Family nor baptizing for the dead relatives as essential to eternal salvation; not even paying Tithing to a church (rather alms-giving should be given directly to the poor).
- In Galatians 1:8-9 we read: anyone that preaches another gospel aside from the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ… let him be accursed.
After I completed a missionary duty in my youth, I obtained a college degree and started working in a professional setting. I was active in church callings, and attended Temples regularly. Of course, throughout the years, my love for the scriptures never diminished. It was my reading of the scriptures and my sole reliance in the Holy Ghost to teach me of the things of God, the gospel principles necessary for my personal salvation, that ultimately convinced me that the LDS Church is out of order − not aligned with the Words of God.
As a former LDS missionary, I attest that the missionaries were never coached to teach the Savior's teachings as recorded in Matthew chapters 5 thru 7 and recorded in 3 Nephi chapters 12 thru 15 − aka the Gospel of Jesus Christ or the Rod of Iron. Rather, we taught the Law of Moses − Old Testament commandments as one of the major discussions/lessons given to investigators.
About 12 years after returning from a mission, I stop altogether attending LDS church services. However, my testimony and commitment to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ remained very strong (note: certainly, I am not perfect − I have many things to improve upon).
This article, Litmus Test for the LDS, highlights many items that the Spirit of God clearly (opened my eyes) revealed to me of the gross errors in the LDS beliefs and practices.
Presently, I still have many friends and family members that are active in the LDS church. Certainly, I pray for them to rely in the Godhead directly for their learning, instead of relying in the 'arm of flesh' − mortal men (LDS Top Leadership).
In the New Testament, the Savior Jesus Christ is the mediator of the New Covenant (Hebrews 9:15; Hebrews 8:6; Hebrews 12:24; 1 Timothy 2:5): through the baptismal covenant, the saints are promised with the Holy Ghost - a member of the Godhead that will teach (bring to remembrance Christ's words) true principles necessary for one's eternal salvation. Note: instead of relying on a mortal flesh, a member of the Godhead will do the teaching! The Holy Ghost will never give an erroneous principle, whereas mortal men can/do advance erroneous principles as very well documented throughout history.
In these latter days, False teachings, precepts, commandments, and traditions of men are prevalent all over the globe; priestcraft everywhere! Very sad indeed.
Sad to say, most people, including the LDS saints, continue to fail to understand the New Covenant that Christ introduced (as commanded by Heavenly Father) - as taught by Him, in person, recorded both in Matthew chapters 5 thru 7 and in 3 Nephi chapters 12 thru 15 (the Everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ - the Rod of Iron).
